Xenoblade celebrates 5 years in the making.
Shulk can see the future.
Silver the Hedgehog is FROM the future.

So I figured: why not connect this song with Xenoblade Chronicles 1?

Attention: massive SPOILER ALERT for anyone who hasn't played this game!

Also, most of this song is sung mostly from Shulk's perspective.

In the nightlight, do you see what you dream? — Shulk asking himself about his dreams of his past.

All your troubles, are they all what they seem? — Reyn asking Shulk about his visions.

Look around you, then you may realize all the preachers all with their lies. — Melia not buying Zanza's tale when they encounter him as "Arglas".

And I might know of our future, but then you still control the past. — Shulk to Egil about their differences.

Only you know if you'll be together. Only you know if we shall last. — Alvis to Shulk about him and his friends and their world.

In the night light, do you still feel your pain. For the valor you waited, it never came. — Dunban to Fiora about her death as a full Homs; Reyn to Sharla about losing Gadolt; Shulk to Melia about her father Emperor Sorean and her brother Prince Kalian.

If you were able, would you go change the past to mend a faux pas with one last chance? — Reyn and/or Dunban talking to Shulk about his time with Fiora in Colony 9; Reyn to Sharla about Gadolt; Shulk to Melia about making amends with her father; Shulk and his friends to Egil, Vanea, and Miqol.

'Cause every night I will save your life. And every night I will be with you. — Shulk to Fiora about protecting her and being with her.

Cause every night I still lay awake, and I dream of an absolution. — Shulk stays up at night trying to find ways to forgive Egil for causing pain and confusion, as well as to forgive Meyneth for invading Fiora's body regardless of her reasons; also, Dunban struggling to forgive Mumkhar after all he did.

Cause every night I will make it right, and every night I will come to you. — Shulk and friends (Shulk and Reyn in particular) will always do the right thing and come home alive to their friends.

But every night it just stays the same in my dream of an absolution. — However, nothing changes in their dreams.

All your triumph, and all you'll ever be — Shulk and his friends to each other about what they've accomplished and what they can become.

Look around you, then you may realize happiness lies trapped in misery. — From Egil's point of view, peace and prosperity cannot be done as long as Bionis exists. This later changes when everyone agrees that their common enemy is the Bionis' soul, Zanza.

And who knows what of our future? We can all try to change the past. — Even the Monado alone doesn't know the whole future. (Strangely enough, the past can't be changed in Xenoblade.)

And you'll see what you'll be. And you'll see all you can be. — Alvis telling everyone they can live life as it comes.

And you'll see that this is my dream — Shulk and friends to everyone about their mutual dreams of peace.
And you'll see every night I will always dream — Shulk to his team they they'll see him dreaming for a better future for everyone.
